Extended Work Hours Notification - Saturday, November 6

IMCO General Construction has received permission to perform tidally influenced work from 8:30 p.m., Saturday, November 6, through 12:30 a.m., Sunday, November 7.

The location of the tidally influenced work is at the new travel lift pier between M- and N-Docks.  The travel lift pier ladder has a stabilization brace that is to be welded to the steel pipe pile at an elevation of -2.0 feet MLLW.  In order to weld the brace, the tide must be lower than -2.0 feet for a period of several hours.  The low tide this coming Saturday night will be -2.9 feet MLLW at 11:51 p.m.

IMCO will have a project manager and welder onsite.  Equipment that will be used in this specific piece of work include a generator/welder unit and two work lights.

Approval for extended work hours include the following conditions:
  1. The Contractor is required to comply with all noise requirements established by the City's Municipal Code and WAC 173-60; and
  2. Construction lighting shall be directed away from the residential areas and limited to lighting needed to safely illuminate the work zone as established by industry standards.
